Gum Turpentine is a fluid obtained by the distillation of the species pinus. It is composed of terpenes, mainly the monoterpenes alpha-pinene and beta-pinene with lesser amounts of carene, camphene, dipentene, and terpinolene. It is with special chemical activity.

Oil of turpentine, also known as spirit of turpentine or oil of turpentine, is a colorless to pale yellow essential oil obtained from the resin of pine trees. It is obtained through a steam distillation process that separates the volatile oil from the resinous material. The obtained oil has a distinct, strong smell and a thin and watery consistency.

 

Used as solvent, as raw material for synthetic camphor, synthetic resins, terpineol, borneol, aromatic chemicals, synthetic fragrance and other fine Chemicals.
