Starch 1442
Hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate (HDP) is a modified resistant starch. It is currently used as a food additive (INS number 1442). It is approved for use in the European Union (listed Hydroxy Propyl Distarch Phosphate (E1442) is normally added and applied to enhance stability of cold storage. Our E1442 is highly recommended for foods with high process tolerance or high level of pH such as cream products as well as other food products that contain acid. It is also suitable for canned products, especially those that are low in acid like cream-based fillings and sauces, both fresh and frozen.
