Stevia

Stevioside (CNS: 19,008; INS: 960), also known as stevioside, is a glycoside extracted from the leaves of Stevia Rebaudia, a composite plant (called Stevia rebau diana rebaudia in China). Its sweet component consists of stevioside and stevioside A, B, C, D and E. Stevioside can be extracted from dry leaves with water, clarified and crystallized. In actual production, three types of stevioside were obtained, namely crude extract and products with 50% and 90% purity.
