Dimethicone 350
Dimethicone is a medium silicon oil, having different viscosities (100cs, 200cs, 350cs, 1000cs)
Dimethicone, like most of the silicones used in personal care, provides a hydrophobic protective. Dimethicone is commonly used to improve the slip and glide of bath and body products which provides an easy solution for heavier, creams and lotions.
Dimethicone imparts softness, lubricity and emolliency to formulations as it reduces whitening, soaping and stickiness during rub-in.

350 CST (centistoke) a mid range viscosity silicone offering excellent barrier properties when used in personal care / skin protectant formulations.
Additionally, it adds slip and glide, reduces tackiness in lotions and creams,and also offers conditioning properties when used in hair care applications.
Usage at a level of 1% to 30%, silicone /dimethicone fluid conforms to the FDA's Tentative Final Monograph on OTC Skin Protectants, provided no drug claims are made, dimethicone does not have to be declared as an active ingredient, nor does your product or facility need to conform to OTC drug production standards.
Like other ingredients, dimethicone can be added to any cosmetic and then declared on the ingredient label in descending order of usage.
