Calcium gluconate

Calcium gluconate is a mineral supplement and medication. As a medication it is used by injection into a vein to treat low blood calcium, high blood potassium, and magnesium toxicity. Supplementation is generally only required when there is not enough calcium in the diet.Calcium gluconate is an organic calcium salt, slightly soluble in boiling water (20g/100mL), slightly soluble in cold water (3g/100mL, 20℃), and the aqueous solution is neutral (pH 6-7). Calcium gluconate is mainly used as a calcium nutritional fortifier and nutrient, buffer, hardener and chelating agent in foods.

Calcium gluconate, white crystalline powder, melting point 201℃ (decomposition), odorless, tasteless, slightly soluble in boiling water (20g/100ml), slightly soluble in cold water (3g/100ml, 20℃), insoluble in ethanol or ether and other organic solvents. The aqueous solution was neutral (PH 6-7).Calcium gluconate is mainly used as a food calcium nutritional strengthener and nutrient, buffer, hardener, chelating agent.
